In a project known as “From our Frames”, teachers in training at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, were able to explore their views of HIV and AIDS through the production and sharing of photo-texts. Creating peer targeted small media representations provided the tools for adopting a personal position and reflecting and promoting thought in the local context.
